ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to update the petitioner's name in the Revenue Records for the assigned land

to him to an extent of 0.50 square meter, bearing Survey No.495/10, ad-measuring at West to 495/9, North to 279, South to 495/11, East to 497/1, which is located at Bommanur Village, Jakkasamuthiram Post, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District, within the stipulated period of time.

2. The petitioner was assigned the land ad-measuring 0.50 sq.mts comprised in S.No.495/10 situated at Bommanur Village, Jakkasamuthiram Post, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District by the third respondent on 09.01.2006. Accordingly, the Village Administrative Officer had drawn a map to the assigned the land and identified the property with metes and boundaries. Thereafter, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 10.08.2021 before the respondents to update her name in the Revenue Records as per the assignment order.

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the third respondent is directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
