O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 02.08.2024 and consequently direct the respondents to issue the priority certificate to the petitioner's daughter viz., Vishnu Priya.S. immediately so as to enable her to apply for MBBS course.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she is residing in Elangalopatti Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District along with her daughter and son. The petitioner's husband died while he was in service in Indian Army. The petitioner's daughter has applied for MBBS seat in Ex.Serviceman Quota. The petitioner has applied for issuance of priority certificate for getting MBBS Seat to her daughter to the second respondent on 02.08.2024. However, till date, the second respondent has not considered the same and hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition before this Court seeking appropriate remedy.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 02.08.2024 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation dated 02.08.2024 made by the petitioner and pass orders as per the Government orders and guidelines within a period of one week from today. The petitioner shall produce all the relevant documents to the second respondent.
