O R D E R
This Writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to issue B.C.A. degree certificate, provisional certificate, degree completion certificate and other certificates to the petitioner.
2. Ms.Shabnam Banu, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, he was admitted to second year B.C.A. degree in the respondent university in the year 2005 through lateral entry and the petitioner completed the degree in the year 2022 successfully. However, till date, the respondent university has not issued B.C.A. degree certificate, provisional certificate, degree completion certificate and other 2/5
certificates to the petitioner, despite the repeated request made by the petitioner. Thereby, the petitioner made a detailed representation dated 20.06.2024 to the respondents seeking issuance of the above said certificates, which evoked no response. Hence, this Writ petition.
4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2024 and to consequently issue B.C.A. degree certificate, provisional certificate, degree completion certificate and other certificates to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, enabling the petitioner to secure a job.
5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that, the total due amount payable by the petitioner towards tuition fee is Rs.26,275/- and if the petitioner pays the said amount, all his certificates will be returned to him within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the petitioner to pay the entire 3/5
due amount of Rs.26,275/- to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon such payment being made by the petitioner, the respondents shall return all the certificates to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter, by considering his representation dated 20.06.2024.
7. With the above directions, this Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
