2. Heard Mr.R.Ganesh Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.
3. Even though various grounds have been raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner questioning the appointment of the 5 th respondent, it is seen that the impugned Government order was issued on 13.10.2023 and there is absolutely no explanation in the affidavit as why it took such a long time for the petitioner to approach this Court. In any event, the period is coming to an end on 13.10.2025. Therefore, at this stage, no useful purpose will be served in keeping this writ petition pending since by the time the writ petition is taken up for final hearing, the writ petition itself will become infructuous. Therefore considering latches, this Court is not inclined to exercise its discretion. Page No.3 of 5
