O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Omalur to dispose the protest petition in C.M.P.No.2166 of 2023.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that, against the action dropped report of the Police, petitioner being the defacto complainant filed protest petition before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Omalur on 25.05.2023. But there is no progress in the protest petition. Therefore, this petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrat, Omalur to dispose the protest petition filed by the petitioner within the time frame.

3. From the petition, this Court finds that, complaint pertaining to the incident which had happened on 28.11.2019, respondent police registered C.S.R.No.31 of 2020. After intervention of this Court, the CSR has been closed as action dropped.

Taking note of the background of the case, this Court is of the view that, it is suffice to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Omalur to consider the protest petition filed by the petitioner and dispose it on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of the order, if it is not so far disposed.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
