ORDER

The matter is placed before this court on the letter received from the court below, seeking extension of time to complete the proceedings in S.T.C.No.2556 of 2023 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam, Chennai.

2. It is seen that this Court, while disposing of the case in Crl.R.C.No.1412 of 2024 on 04.09.2024, had directed the trial Court to dispose of the case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of that order. However, the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Page No.1 of 3

Chennai, has now sent a letter in Dis.No.2961/2025A dated 26.03.2025, seeking an extension of time to dispose the case.

3. Considering the reasons and the request made by the learned Chief Metropolitans Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by one month.

4. Accordingly, the time for disposing of the case in S.T.C.No.2556 of 2023, on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam, Chennai, is further extended by one month from today. 01.07.2025 ham Note to office:- The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Egmore, Chennai, may be apprised of the extension of time forthwith.
