Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, to direct the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2016 for grant of permission to the petitioner for erecting temporary Vinayagar Idol at Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Near Nagathamman Koil, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 600 041, for the year 2016.

Heard Mr.M.Ganeshan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that, despite the submission of the representation, dated 01.09.2016, for erecting temporary Vinayagar Idol at Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Near Nagathamman Koil, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 600 041, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that necessary orders will be passed on the petitioner's application for erection and putting up of Vinayagar Idol temporarily in the permitted place, in Thiruvanmiyur Area.

4. The said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, is placed on record.

5. In the light of the same, this writ petition is disposed of and the fourth respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioner's application, dated 01.09.2016, forthwith, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
