This Contempt petition has been filed against the respondent namely the Inspector of Police, Kasimedu, Chennai for violation of the order of this Court made in W.P.No.30277 of 2018, dated 14.12.2018.

2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent had closed /locked the premises of the petitioner association at No.2/2, Kummalamman Koil Street, Tondiarpet, Chennai 600 081.

3. The respondent / Inspector of Police, N-2 Police Station, Kasimedu, Chennai-600 013 was present on the previous hearing date, his presence was noted and the same was dispensed with.

4. Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. It was stated that the learned Special Government Pleader had sought time to get instructions as to whether the petitioner had obtained the requisite license from the Corporation of Chennai. On that aspect, the matter was adjourned today.

In view of the facts, the petitioner is permitted to continue with the functioning of their business namely Annai Manamagizh Mandram, No.2/2, Kummalamman Koil Street, Tondiarpet, Chennai - 600 081. The respondent or any other official are also permitted to inspect the premises. But they cannot close down the premises. If the petitioner 2/3

does not have any license, they may instruct the petitioner to obtain such license, give a period, within which, the petitioner shall obtain such license and he should comply with the same.

8. With the above observations, this contempt petition is closed. The petitioner is permitted to open up the Annai Manamagizh Mandram at any suitable time from today.
