Represented by its Power of Attorney respondent in Crl.R.C.No.1909 of 2023 This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.V.Arunagiri, the learned counsel for the revision petitioners and Mr.D.Rajesh, the learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
COMMON TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The respondent United Bright Steel Industries and Mahalakshmi Bright Steel Industries Private Limited claimed a check amount of Rs.20,77,515 with interest and costs. The trial Court passed an order as prayed for by the respondents herein and the first appellate Court also confirmed the order passed by the trial Court. Aggrieved by the above order passed by the trial Court and the first Appellate Court, T.Mahadev and New Tech Fastners have filed the criminal revisions before the Hon'ble High Court.
2.Both the parties have initiated negotiation and successfully arrived at a settlement of all the issues arising in this case as follows; The petitioners have agreed to pay the entire check amount of Rs.20,77,515. 20% of the check amount, which is Rs.4,15,505/- was already deposited before the Sessions Court. Now, the petitioners have chosen to pay 80% of the check amount ie., Rs.16,62,012/- with interest
of Rs.1,00,000/- within a week's time. The respondents have agreed to receive the said amount of Rs.16,62,012/- plus Rs.1,00,000/- within a week's time.
3.Both the parties made a request to the Lok Adalat to pass an award in terms of the about settlement.
4.As a result, the award is passed thereof in terms of the above compromise arrived at between the parties directing the petitioners herein to pay a sum of Rs.17,72,012/- within a week's time from the date of receipt of a copy of the order passed by the Lok Adalat. 5.Consequently, Criminal Revisions stand disposed of.
