This petition is filed by the petitioners / appellants / claimants seeking to condone the delay of 1024 days in filing the above Appeal.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners / appellants. Despite serving notice on the (contesting respondent) second respondent / Insurer and its name printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of them.
3. Therefore, having regard to the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition and being satisfied with the same, the delay of 1024 days in filing the above Appeal is condoned subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioners / appellants shall pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- as costs to the "Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai" on or before 14.11.2019, failing which, this petition shall stand automatically dismissed without any further reference to this Court; and (ii) The petitioners / appellants are not entitled to any interest for the default period, in the event of succeeding in the Appeal.
4. This petition is ordered accordingly.
