The petitioner has filed this Writ petition seeking direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024. Page No.1 of 5
2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, in the year 1971, the Government of Tamil Nadu passed an Government Order through the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board to provide housing to the homeless families at Yanai Kavani, Kalyanapuram and the Board provided 254 houses and 6 shops in Yanai Kavani, Kalyanapuram. While so, in the year 2018, a notice was given by the respondent to the petitioner and other beneficiaries to vacate their premises temporarily for the purpose of re-construction, for which a sum of Rs.8,000/- has been handed over to all the families, who lived there. On 06.02.2024, the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board had finished constructing 288 houses in the above said premises, however, the board has not allotted the house properly to the existing beneficiaries and out of 288 houses, 240 houses were allotted to old beneficiaries and left 14 old beneficiaries and the houses were allotted to the new beneficiaries in A-Block. Thereby, the petitioner made a representation dated 06.05.2024 to the Page No.2 of 5
respondent to allot the houses to the old beneficiaries on priority and to cancel the allotment order of two new beneficiaries, who got houses at A-Block. However, till date, no order has been passed on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this Writ petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a particular time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent has no objection for the said order being passed by this Court and he fairly submitted that, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024 on Page No.3 of 5
merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons if any.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
