... Respondent This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. The learned counsel for the Appellants Mr. S. Udhayakumar, and Mr. S. Senthilkumar, the learned counsel for the Respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT It is seen that the Trial Court has awarded a sum of Rs.4,21,000/- along with further interest at the rate of 7.5% p.a. 2.

The Respondent / Insurance company is willing to settle the matter for the said amount itself without any further reduction, as per the Trial Court award.

In view of the discussion by both parties, now they have agreed to settle the claim for a sum of Rs.5,50,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) over and above the amount already awarded by the Tribunal as full quit, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.

On such deposit, the Claimants/Appellants are entitiled to withdraw the award amount, as per the same proportion as awarded by the Trial Court.

The Tribunal shall disburse the award amount along with accrued interest, if any, to the Claimants on proper identification and verification, without any formal application.

In view of the above, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands disposed off. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition(s) is/are closed, if any.
