O R D E R

This transfer petition is filed by the petitioner/wife seeking transfer of petition for divorce filed by the respondent/husband in F.C.O.P.No.60 of 2022 from the Family Court, Tiruvannamlai, to the Family Court, Tiruchirappalli.

2. Though notice served on respondent and his name appeared in the cause list, there is no representation for the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner/wife, she is residing at Olaiyur, Tiruchirapalli District within the territorial limits of the Family Court, Tiruchirappalli. The petitioner further submits that as a lady she finds it very difficult to undertake long travel to Thiruvannamalai to attend the Family Court hearings.

4. It is settled law that in cases involving matrimonial dispute, the preference shall be given to the convenience of the petitioner/wife.

5. In the case on hand, petitioner/wife is residing at Olaiyur, Tiruchirapalli District within the territorial limits of the Family Court, Tiruchirappalli and she had also expressed her difficulty in undertaking long travel to Tiruvannamalai to attend each and every Family Court hearings. By taking into consideration of the convenience of the petitioner/wife, this Court is inclined to order the above transfer petition.

6. Accordingly this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. The petition filed in F.C.O.P.No.60 of 2022 on the file of the Family Court, Tiruvannamalai is withdrawn and transferred to the Family Court, Tiruchirrappalli. No costs.
