Respondents in both the petitions Writ petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioners to the post of Assistant Divisional Engineer on par with his junior with all benefits without reference to the punishment of stoppage of increment for 3 months without cumulative effect issued in Proc.No.7639/Kamukkam2/2006-20 dated 29.09.2008 and Proc.No.4857/Kamukkam2/2008-5, dated 7.7.2009 respectively of the 2nd respondent.

COMMON ORDER When the matters were taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the writ petitions may be dismissed, as the relief sought for herein has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the bundle.
2.In view of the submission and the endorsement so made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, both the writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
