Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ a mandamus directing the respondent to issue Provisional Degree Certificate to the petitioner bearing register No.51271110690, on the basis of representation dated 13.3.2019.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed by a student of the third respondent College since her provisional degree certificate was not issued by the University in spite of completing her BE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) as early as 2015.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the Controller of Examination, Anna University has wrongly intimated her on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

25.01.2018 that she has not appeared for practical examination, which is not correct and she has furnished all the relevant material to the University that she has completed the course pursuing the studies initially from St.John's college and thereafter after obtaining NOC from the College joined Sri Balaji Chockalingam Engineering College. After notice, the Controller of Examination, Anna University has verified the records of the petitioner and has found that due to inadvertence some of the entries in respect of the petitioner relating to the first semester practical examination manually entered and not uploaded in the web portal along with the semester mark, which has caused omission and delay in issuing the provisional certificate and after verifying the records the petitioner has been issued provisional degree certificate and consolidated statement of grades to the third respondent college. The petitioner was also informed about the same vide letter dated 26.08.2019. The petitioner can collect the certificate from the third respondent.

3. In view of the above fact nothing survives in this writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of recording the statement of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for Anna University. No costs.
