ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.70 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Polur, Thiruvannamalai District and quash the same.

2. On the basis of the complaint given by the second respondent as against the petitioners on the allegation of criminal intimidation, a case was registered by the first https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent police in Crime No.241 of 2014 for the offence under Sections 147, 294(b), 323 and 506(i) I.P.C. Subsequently, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Polur, Thiruvannamalai and the same was taken on file as C.C.No.70 of 2016. Now, to quash the said proceedings, the petitioners have come up with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who has taken notice on behalf of the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The Teachers are not expected to involve in such a criminal act as narrated in the complaint, which led the authorities to proceed further by institution of criminal proceedings. Hence, this Court is not inclined to quash the said proceedings. However, considering the status of the petitioners, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Polur, Thiruvannamalai, is directed to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.70 of 2016 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. The present criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
