Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue educational loan application, entertain filled-in application, scrutinize and sanction the education loan of Rs.4,99,500/- for all the four years study of petitioner's son in the B.Sc., Agriculture in Alpine Institute of Management & Technology institution Dehra Dun, State of Uttarkhand by considering petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2016 to the 2nd respondent. O R D E R

The petitioner applied for educational loan for his son with the 2nd

respondent as his son is undergoing B.Sc Agriculture in Alpine Institute of Management and Technology College. Even though the petitioner approached the 2nd respondent for educational loan with requisite documents, he was not even given the loan application form which compelled the petitioner to approach this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.P.D.Audikesavan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents handed over the educational loan application to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. In view of the above, the relief sought for by the petitioner has been complied with. However, the writ petition are kept pending with the following direction.

(a) the petitioner shall present the educational loan application to the 2nd respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

(b) On such receipt, the 2nd respondent is directed to process the application for grant of educational loan to the petitioner and take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks thereafter.

4. If the above order passed by this Court is not complied with by the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent shall appear before this Court on that day.
