Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondent to pass appropriate orders regularizing the service of the petitioners taking into consideration the initial date of entry not service and in accordance to rules and consequently grant all attendant and monetary benefits within a stipulated time.

Though the petitioners 1 to 4, 10 to 12, 18 to 20 and 23 have sought for a larger relief as against the respondents 1 and 2 to pass orders regularizing their services, taking into consideration the initial date of entry into service, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners 1 to 4, 10 to 12, 18 to 20 and 23 would submit that if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 09.11.2009 made by the Tamil Nadu Government Officials Union on behalf of the petitioners, they would be satisfied.

2. In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the Tamil Nadu Government Officials Union on behalf of the petitioners 1 to 4, 10 to 12, 18 to 20 and 23 dated 09.11.2009 on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
