O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the order of the first respondent dated 24.04.2007, canceling the order of promotion as Office Assistant dated 29.06.2002 without prior notice and posting her as watchman and for consequential directions. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner studied up to XI standard and she was initially appointed as Assistant Cook through Employment Exchange. Accordingly, she joined service on 31.12.1983 and she has completed her probation period in the said post from 29.07.1986. Subsequently, she was elevated to the post of Watchman on 19.10.2000 and further elevated as Office Assistant on 28.06.2002 and continued to be in service. 2000 seeking for an appointment by promotion as Junior Assistant. While such being the position, the respondent passed an impugned order dated 24.04.2007 canceling the earlier orders dated 13.10.2000 and 29.06.2002 and revered her to the original post as Watchman. Aggrieved against the same, the petitioner has filed this present Writ Petition.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner has joined as Assistant Cook on 09.01.1984 and thereafter she was promoted and transferred as Watchman on 19.10.2000 in the Government Adi Dravidar Girls Hostel, Ercaud, and subsequently promoted as Office Assistant on 01.07.2002 at the Special Tahsildar Office, Sangagiri. Subsequently, she was transferred to the Special Tahsildar, Salem from 01.03.2016 and continued to serve in the same post in the same office.

5.In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the Writ Petition. Hence, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
