ORDER

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing R2 and R3 being 1/4

the Chief Manager and Assistant General Manager of the State Bank of India, Gudiyattam, Vellore - 632 602 to issue a loss certificate in respect of Pension Payment Order for account bearing No.65/9656 standing in the name of Mr.C.D.Sathyanarayana. 2.

As far as the State Bank of India is concerned, the petitioner states that pending writ petition, the petitioner was asked to submit an Affidavit of Indemnity that has been furnished. 3.

In fact on 12.10.2023, this Court has stated that the request of the petitioner may be considered and, if found justified, a certificate may be issued in the required format notwithstanding the pendency of this writ petition.

Since the petitioner orally submits that the bank has agreed to issue a certificate for which Affidavit of Indemnity has also been furnished, there is a direction to R3 to issue a certificate in the required format after obtaining any other undertakings or documents that may be required from the petitioner and in accordance with applicable Rules, Regulations and legal provisions. Let the needful be done within a period of one week from today. 5.

This writ petition stands disposed in terms of this order. No costs .
