JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J.) This appeal has been brought by the unsuccessful writ petitioner before the learned single Judge, challenging the impugned order dated 5.12.2018 issued by the fourth respondent appointing him as one of the members of the Selection Committee to propose a panel of three candidates to the Higher Education Committee, on the ground that when he was already elected as Convenor of the Joint Board of Education for three years from January, 2017 to January, 2020, the fifth respondent cannot be made to act as Convenor. However, during the pendency of the matter, by virtue of the order of status quo granted by this Court, the appellant has completed the tenure of three years as Convenor of the Joint Board of Education.

2. Considering the fact that the tenure of the appellant as Convenor of the Joint Board of Education had already come to an end in January, 2020, nothing survives for adjudication in the matter and the writ appeal stands dismissed. It is open to the appellant to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, interim order stands vacated and the C.M.P.No.20835 of 2019 is also dismissed. However, there is no order as to costs.
