21.05.2024 rejected the petition to assign patta in Survey Nos.126/1 to an extent of 4.72 acres and 129/4 to an extent of 0.38 acres, situated in Pilparuthi revenue village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District classified as Depressed class land to the petitioner.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 26.06.2024 preferred by him challenging the order passed by the 3rd respondent within a time fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner applied for issue of patta in respect of land in Survey Nos.126/1 and 129/4. The petitioner's request for issue of patta was rejected by the 3rd respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent on 26.06.2024 challenging the rejection order dated 21.05.2024 passed by the 3rd respondent. The said appeal is still pending on the file of 2nd respondent without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 3, submitted that the appeal preferred by the petitioner will be disposed of on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 26.06.2024 challenging the order passed by the 3rd respondent dated 21.05.2024 on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
