PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to grant permission to the petitioner college to fill up the 4 Teaching Staff posts in various department namely, Economics-1, Computer Science-2 and Mathematics-1 in the sanctioned vacancies and approve the said appointments.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to grant permission to the petitioner college to fill up the 4 Teaching Staff posts in various department namely, Economics-1, Computer Science-2 and Mathematics-1 in the sanctioned vacancies and approve the said appointments.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner College has been sanctioned 81 Teaching posts of Assistant Professors under the Aided Scheme vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 28.10.1999. Out of the above said 81 posts, 4 posts of Assistant Professors have fallen vacant in the Department of Economics, Computer Science and Mathematics and, for filling up the said vacancies, the petitioner forwarded a proposal to the 2nd respondent, in turn, the 2nd respondent forwarded the same to the 1st respondent. However, the 1st respondent has not yet taken any decision thereby, the present writ petition is filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the 1st respondent will consider the proposal of the petitioner dated 02.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.

4. In view of the same, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the proposal of the petitioner dated 02.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders on

the same, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 07.01.2026 NCC: Yes / No Index : Yes / No Speaking Order : Yes / No kkn
