O R D E R

The petitioner herein is a driver of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. His driving license was seized by the 1st respondent in view of the accident caused by the petitioner on 15.06.2019. In this writ petition, he has sought for mandamus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to return the driving license of the petitioner forthwith.

2. The 1st respondent herein through his learned Standing counsel reports that the driving license of the petitioner was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

handed over to the Inspector of Police-the 2nd respondent herein for appropriate action under Section 19(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act. Accordingly, show cause notice was issued to the petitioner on 17.06.2019. On receipt of his explanation, enquiry was conducted and the order of suspending the petitioner's driving license for a period of six months from 17.06.2019 to 16.12.2019 was passed on 02.08.2019 and the same was also communicated to the petitioner.

3. In the light of the above fact, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous with liberty to the petitioner herein to challenge the order of suspension passed by the 2nd respondent dated 02.08.2019. No costs.
