The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to consider his revision application dated 01.03.2024 pending on it's file and pass final orders within a time fixed frame by this Court.

According to the petitioner, he purchased the land with an extent of 0.37 cents in Survey No.14/3 situated in Ariyanvoyal Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District under registered sale deed dated 19.11.1988 from one Raghunathmall. When the petitioner approached the revenue authorities for issue of patta, the same was negatived on the ground that the application made by the petitioner was time barred. Therefore, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P.No.17537 of 2017. In the said writ petition, this Court directed the petitioner to approach the 1st respondent for issue of patta outside the scope of Inam Abolition Act. In pursuance of the said direction issued by this Court, the petitioner submitted the application before the 1st respondent on 30.11.2022 seeking issue of patta outside the scope of Inam Abolition Act and the same was rejected by the 1st respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred a revision before the 2nd respondent on 01.03.2024 and the same has not been considered till date.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the 2/4

respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the revision application filed by the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the revision application filed by the petitioner dated 01.03.2024 and pass final orders on merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
