ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2022 and further direct the 3rd and 4th respondents herein to remove the name of the petitioner from the rowdy "A" Grade list record.

2. The case of the petitioner is that in the year 1998, the respondent police had registered a FIR in Crime No.2102 of 1998 for offence under Section 302 IPC and arrayed him as one of the accused and he was enlisted as a History Sheeter in the list of rowdies, maintained by the 4th respondent Police, which was not known to him and subsequently upon trial the petitioner was acquitted by the Fast Track Court (III), Chennai. He did not involve in any 2/5

other criminal cases except for the case under Sections 151 of Cr.P.C., 110 of Cr.P.C. under section 75 of City Police Act. Hence, he prays to direct the second respondent to consider his representation dated 09.05.2022 and further direct the 3rd and 4th respondents to remove his name from the rowdy "A" Grade list record.

The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 1st and 2nd respondent police may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2022 and further direct the 3rd and 4th respondents to remove the name of the petitioner from the rowdy "A" Grade list record.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2022 is available with the second respondent and respondent police is ready to consider the petitioner's representation.

5. Recording the same, the second respondent police is directed to consider the representation, dated 09.05.2022, on merits and in accordance 3/5

with law, within a period of fours weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
