This petition is filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending investigation in Crime No.236 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police. 2.It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is falsely implicated in Cr.No.236 of 2023. Even as per the First Information Report, no independent witnesses were present at the time of recovery. There is no clarity as to the manner in which the Ganja was said to have been seized from the petitioner. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 03.07.2023. Thus, he seeks bail.

3.In response, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed this petition on the ground that on 02.07.2023, on secret information received, defacto-complainant along with Police party proceeded to Dwaraga Nagar near Rani Bungalow and found petitioner Manikandan under suspicious circumstances. He tried to escape, on seeing Police. But he was apprehended. After following necessary procedure, the Saravana store cover kept by the petitioner was searched. Crl.OP.No.19180 of 2023 petitioner has similar case in C.C.No.278 of 2023 is pending against him. G.CHANDRASEKHARAN, J.

4.Considered the rival submissions and perused the records. 5.Though the Ganja involved in this case is intermediate quantity, petitioner has similar previous case pending in C.C.No.278 of 2023. Investigation in this case is not completed.
