Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in D.O.No.102/2021-C2 dated 10.11.2021 in detaining the detenu under 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Viji, son of Kannan, aged about 23 years, who is detained at the Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.102/2021-C2 dated 10.11.2021 detaining his son as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.6405, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 24.12.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
