This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioners representation dt. 08.08.2016 requesting to take necessary action against the Respondents 3 and 4 for issuance of nativity certificates to the Respondents 5 to 7 and to cancel those certificates and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.

2. The petitioners are the parents of the affected students, who lost their opportunity to get admission in JIPMER Medical College, at Pondicherry under domicile reservation. However, respondents 5 to 7 have produced bogus certificates said to have been issued by the Revenue authorities of Puducherry Government, as if they are residents of Pondicherry satisfying the norms to admit them in JIPMER under Puducherry Domicile reserved category. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners have sent a representation dated 08.08.2016 requesting to take necessary action against respondents 3 and 4 for issuance of nativity certificates to the respondents 5 to 7 and to cancel those certificates and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. But, till date, there was no response and hence, the Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Mr.S.Gopinathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, now states that the petitioner will be satisfied if the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider representations made by the petitioners dated 08.08.2016 in accordance with law. 4.

Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, the second respondent is directed to consider the above referred representation of the petitioners after giving notice and opportunity to respondents 5 to 7 and also the petitioners and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CCC) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar kua
