Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the representation sent by the petitioner dated 20.07.2024 and to provide a job preference to the petitioner's elder son and pay compensation amount for the land acquired.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 20.07.2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his father has been in possession and enjoyment of the land situated in S.No.250 with an extent of 5 acres. In the year 1992, the said land was acquired by the Government for the purpose of constructing Moorthana Dam. It is stated by the petitioner that at the time of acquiring the property, the petitioner and his family members were assured that they would be given preference in employment. It is further stated that till date no compensation has been paid to the petitioner and no preference was given to the petitioner in employment opportunity also. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 20.07.2024 requesting the first respondent to pay compensation amount and provide job opportunity to the petitioner and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.D.Gopal, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2024 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
