PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 23.07.2024 in his office Ref.C3.D.O.No.57/2024 against the detenu by name Soundhar, s/o.Nadupaiyan, aged about 29 years, now confined at Central Prison, Vellore, Vellore District and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the abovesaid detenu before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6355, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department dated 11.09.2024.
Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
