Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents secure and produce the petitioner's daughter viz., Abirami, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter viz., Abirami, aged about 21 years, went missing from 13.11.2021 and the police are not taking effective steps to secure her and hence, he has filed the present habeas corpus petition seeking a direction to the respondents to produce her before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. Today, Mr.G.Parthiban, Sub-Inspector of Police, K-10 Koyambedu Police Station is present before this Court.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Raja Bharathi (E.No.1901/2018), Advocate, having mobile number 99629 69108, appeared via video conferencing and submitted that he is producing Abirami.
4. Abirami also appeared via video conferencing. When we enquired Abirami, she told us that her date of birth is 17.12.2000; she has completed her B.Com.; she had fallen in love with one Arun and at present, she is staying in Arun's house in No.58, East Street, Manalmedu Village, Arumpattu Post, Thiruvennainallur Taluk, Villupuram District.
5. Mr.G.Mohammed Aseef, learned counsel for the petitioner was also present via video conferencing and heard what Abirami had stated.
In view of the above, we are of the opinion that Abirami is not in the illegal custody of anyone for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus and this petition stands closed.
