O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the Statutory Appeal filed by the petitioner dated 08.07.2019.

2.Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Kavitha, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3.With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

4.The case of the petitioner is that while the petitioner was working as Headmistress in the Panchayat Union School, Sakmalpuram, Tuticorin District, the competent authority initiated disciplinary action against the petitioner and the 2nd respondent without conducting enquiry, dismissed the petitioner from service, vide proceedings dated 20.06.2019. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred appeal dated 08.07.2019, before the 1st respondent. Till date the appeal has not been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

disposed of by the 1st respondent. Hence, the present writ petition.

5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 08.07.2019, within a stipulated time frame.

6.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the competent authority to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 08.07.2019, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
