This is an application seeking extension of time for passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal for a further period of one year.

2. It is stated that the Arbitrator entered upon the reference on 18.08.2017. The first sitting of the Arbitration hearing held on 11.11.2017, proceedings could not be completed within a period of twelve months and if extension of time is granted for holding some more sittings, the arguments would be completed and the Arbitral Tribunal shall pass its final award. Since the mandate of the Tribunal has expired, the present application has been filed.

4. With the consent of both learned counsel, time is extended by nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for completion of the Arbitral proceedings and for passing the award. http://www.judis.nic.in
