Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 26.04.2023 for grant of Authorization of dedicated pipeline under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Natural Gas Pipeline) Regulations, 2008 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner herein has made an application dated 26.04.2023 to the second respondent for the grant of authorization for a dedicated pipeline under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing 2/4

Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Natural Gas Pipeline) Regulations, 2008.

3.Mr.Mohamed Fayaz Ali, the learned counsel take notice for the first respondent.

4.Heard Mr.T.V.Ramanujam, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Mohamed Fayaz Ali, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

5.Since the petitioner is only seeking a direction to consider his application, this Court dispenses with the notice to the second respondent but directs him to consider the same and, if necessary, give the petitioner the right of a hearing and dispose of the same within a period of eight (8) days from the date of receipt of an online copy or the date on which the order is hosted in the official website, whichever is earlier. 3/4
