O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's 1/4

complaint dated 22.08.2022 vide CSR No.1303 of 2022 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has a family dispute with his wife and in view of that, there is a case pending between himself and his wife in F.C.O.P No.120 of 2022 on the file of the Family Court, Chengalpet. The allegation of the petitioner is that on 22.08.2022, when he attended the Court hearing, a person accompanied his wife had assaulted him and abused him in filthy language. A complaint has been given in this regard on 22.08.2022 and so far, FIR has not been registered.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the complaint is due to domestic dispute between the petitioner and his wife and the enquiry has been initiated in CS.R. No.1303 of 2022. 2/4

5. Taking into consideration of the submission now made by the petitioner, I feel it is appropriate to direct the respondent police to complete the enquiry in C.S.R No.1303 of 2022, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and do the needful in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
