Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner and bring him under time scale of pay from the date of appointment i.e., 01.08.2006 to till date with all service benefits, monetary benefits, backwages including pensionery benefits.

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner and bring him under time scale of pay from the date of appointment on 01.08.2006 to till date with all service benefits, monetary benefits, backwages including pensionery benefits.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 2/6
3.The case of the petitioner is that he joined as Junior Assistant in the 5th respondent College in the year 2006. The petitioner has been continuously working in the said college till date. The grievance of the petitioner is that his services was not regularized inspite of putting in 18 years of continuous service.
4.The petitioner made representation to the 5th respondent college to regularize his services. The same was also sent for approval to the Joint Director of Collegiate Education and through letter dated 21.07.2023, a direction was given to take immediate action on the representation made by the petitioner. Thereafter, inspite of several representations, there has been absolutely no response from the side of the official respondents. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the representation made by the 3/6
petitioner and to decide the request made by the petitioner to regularize his services on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks and indicate the decision to the petitioner. 6.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
7.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
