O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider petitioner's application under Post Graduation Category and to direct the respondent to select the petitioner as service provider for BPVelachery (Petrol Pump Station) by awarding full 25 marks under educational qualification.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has completed Post Graduation Diploma in Management and he submitted application in the prescribed format for selection of service provider for Corporation Owned Corporation Operated Retail Outlet for the location BP - Velachery under the Post Graduation category, however, the respondent considered him under the Graduation category and awarded only 21 marks. Hence, the petitioner made a written request on 16.07.2024 to the respondent to re-evaluate the marks awarded by paying necessary fees, however, the same has not yet been considered.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's application will be considered in terms of Clause 2/4

19 (3) of the Brochure for selection of service provider and appropriate orders will be passed within a reasonable time frame that is to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the fair submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, this Court directs the respondent or other competent Authority to consider the petitioner's application in terms of Clause 19 (3) of the Brochure for selection of service provider and appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
