ORDER

The contempt petition has been filed complaining willful disobedience of the Order passed by this Court in W.P.No.10441 of 2025 dated 21.03.2025. When the matter came up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) as well as the learned Counsel for the TANGEDCO would submit that the line has since been drawn with due protection of the police. It is now come to light that the traget that is fixed for effecting free connection stands now exhausted and if only further connections are ordered to be released, then one of the connections can be given to the petitioner. 3.

That may be so, the application was made in the year 2006 and the writ petition itself was filed only because there was third party objection. But for the objection, the connection would have been effected at the relevant point of time.

In that view of the matter, even though target would have been fixed, considering the fact that such a defense was not taken in the main writ petition, the Authorities are directed to effect the connection within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy of this order without waiting for the certified copy.
