This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to give police protection for the Government officials at the time of measuring the petitioner's property.

The contention of the petitioner is that her property situated at Pulliyur West Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District, comprised in New S.No.341/1, measuring an extent of 40 cents was purchased by her on 15.07.2021 from one K.Selvi and the same was registered as Doc.No.1022/2021 at SRO, Kullanchavadi. Thereafter , when the petitioner proposed to survey the land to fix the boundaries, the same was objected by the second respondent. It is further stated that she had made representation to the Tahsildar on 22.10.2021 to measure the

said property and also remitted a sum of Rs.800/-to and in favour of the survey department through online.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that despite the payment of fee through online, the petitioner could not conduct survey on account of the objections raised by the adjacent owner and hence prays to allow this Petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that though Village Administrative Officer and the revenue authorities have stated about the objections raised by the second respondent for surveying the Petitioner's land, no written complaint has been made. He further submitted that after verification of documents and revenue records, the Tahsildar had directed the petitioner to remit the survey fee, which has been paid.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also in view of the submissions made, this Court is of the view that the objections raised by the land owners is not proper. Hence, the Respondent police is directed to give police protection to the revenue authorities, surveyor to conduct survey and if any unreasonable objections are made obstructing the officials from carrying out their work, necessary action shall be taken by using the police force. The petitioner is directed to approach the Tahsildar, Kurinjipadi along with a copy of this order and thereafter date for the survey can be fixed by the surveyor, for conducting the survey with respect to the petitioner's property.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
