PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of my appeal dated 18.06.2024 filed under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta and Passbook Act, 1983 dated 18.06.2024 as against the joint patta issued by the 2nd respondent in Patta No.62 dated 25.09.2014 in the name of the respondents 3 to 7 by reclassifying the North and West side pathway of my property comprised in S.No.6/5, Nadupatti Village, Harur Taluk, Dharmapuri District into Nilavai Pathai and assigning New Survey No.6/3B2 to the said pathway.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 18.06.2024 filed under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Book Act.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that a joint patta was issued in favour of the petitioner and respondents 3 to 7 by the 2nd respondent in respect of land situation in Survey No.6/5, Nadupatti Village, Harur Taluk, Dharmapuri District. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 18.06.2024 and the same is pending on its file without any progress. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader who is taking notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the appeal pending on the file of the 1st respondent will be disposed of within the time fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner dated 18.06.2024 pending on its file within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
