Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 14.05.2024 to cancel the irregular patta in Patta No.979 given to the 5th respondent on Government poramboke property.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Mr.Edwin Prabhakar states that the representation dated 14.05.2024, which petitioner states he has given, alleging irregular issuance of patta to the fifth respondent has been addressed to a wrong authority, whereas it should have been addressed to the third respondent ie., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Villupuram District.
2. Mr.Prabhakar states that now that Revenue Divisional Officer has appeared in Court through him, the Revenue Divisional Officer shall consider the petition itself along with the representation dated 14.05.2024 to decide whether the patta in favour of the fifth respondent has been legally or correctly issued.
3. Mr.Prabhakar further states that the3 Revenue Divisional Officer shall hear both petitioner as well as the fifth respondent and then pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall pass a reasoned order dealing with all the submissions of the parties. All rights and contentions are kept open.
