ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who was arrested by the respondent police on 17.09.2020 for an offence under Sections 302 IPC R/w 34 IPC in Crime No.497 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant's son namely Anthony Ubald, had contacts with some antisocial elements. On 16.09.2020 at 11.30 p.m., the police came to his house and told that his son Anthony Ubald was murdered by somebody at a ground at Trustpuram. Hence this complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the investigation has been completed in this case and trial has been commenced before the Trial Court and during the course of trial, the prime witnesses have been examined and the said witnesses have not supported the case of the prosecution. Further the petitioner is under judicial custody for nearly 400 days and hence prays for appropriate orders.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submitted that the criminal proceedings before the Trial Court would be completed as expeditiously as possible and vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court issues direction to the Trial Court to complete the trial in S.C.No.193 of 2020, as expeditiously as possible. (*)With the above direction, this Petition is disposed of.
