By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3, to settle the contributory pension amount to the petitioner, who retired as Line Inspector from the fourth respondent's office, by considering his representation dated 06.06.2025.

The case of the petitioner is that, he was initially appointed as Mazdoor in the office of the third respondent. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Line Inspector and after rendering unblemished service, he retired on 31.05.2025. However, the respondents have not taken steps to settle the contributory pension amount to the petitioner. Hence the petition.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents dated 06.06.2025, claiming contributory pension amount and the same is yet to be considered. 5.
At this juncture, Mr.C.Ramkumar, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a reasonable time.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2025, and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
