PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Crl.P.C, praying to issue a direction to the respondent to transfer the investigation pending in Crime No.143 of 2019 from the file of 3rd respondent to the 4th respondent. O R D E R

The grievances of the petitioner seems to be that though the petitioner's complaint was registered on 07.07.2019 in Crime No.143 of 2019, there is not much progress in the investigation and therefore they sought for transfer of investigation.

This Court is of the view that such a ground may not

be sufficient to transfer the investigation. Nevertheless, if the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation within a stipulated time and the supervision of the superior Officer, the ends of justice could be secured.

3. Since the petitioner's grievance is only on the ground that there is no sufficient progress in the investigation, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.143 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible in any event, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Such an investigation shall be monitored by the Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur District.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
