This miscellaneous petition has been filed to condone the delay of 528 days in filing the appeal against the acquittal judgment passed in SC.No.31 of 2019 dated 28.04.2023 on the file of the learned I Additional District and Sessions Court at Cuddalore.

The learned Counsel for the respondent would submit that the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the miscellaneous petition to condone the delay is insufficient.

However, we are of the considered opinion that the reasons would be enough for the purpose of condoning the delay and the criminal appeal to be heard on merits.

Accordingly, delay is condoned and the miscellaneous petition stands ordered.
