ORDER
The writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I for the year 1999-2000 and promote him as Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I and grant him all consequential service and monetary benefits.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 19.10.2022, the learned Government Pleader submitted that the request of the petitioner for promotion as Deputy Superintendent of police, Category-I was rejected, vide order dated 03.10.2008 and the same was intimated to the petitioner, and as the same was disputed by the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader was directed to produce the file to verify the same and accordingly the file is produced today.
3. In view of Letter(D).No.1099 dated 03.10.2008 produced by the learned Government Advocate, it is seen that the petitioner's request was 2 / 4
rejected.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner was given a copy of the said order and he is satisfied with the same. Therefore, the prayer for Mandamus cannot be entertained, in view of the rejection order passed by the respondent on 03.10.2008.
In the light of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
