ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.919 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Cheyyur Police Station, Chengalpatu, i.e., from the 2nd respondent to CBI or CBCID or other appropriate authority.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents produced the status report filed by the Inspector of Police, Cheyyur Police Station, Chengalpattu district before this Court. The relevant paragraph of the Status Report is extracted as below:-

10. It is submitted that during the course of investigation, based on the witnesses statement the then Inspector of Police altered the offences under Section from U/.s174@ u/s.306 IPC @ 451, 306, 201, 354 IPC 4(B) (2) of TNPWH Act. After completion of investigation on 11.01.2021 the then Inspector of Police filed a charge sheet before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Cheyyur and the same was taken on file and the case committed before the Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Chengalpattu assigned S.C.No.99 of 2021 dated 08.07.2021. The next hearing date

is 18.11.2022 for further proceedings"
