PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant renewal of lease of land measuring eight grounds in S.No.10119/1, VOC Nagar, Pursaiwalkkam Taluk, Chennai for period of thirty years, as provided in Revenue Standing Order No.24A, to run the petitioner school by constructing permanent superstructure.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking grant of renewal of Lease of land measuring eight grounds in S.No.10119/1, V.O.C.Nagar, Pursaiwalkkam Taluk, Chennai for a period of thirty years as provided in Revenue Standing Order No.24A, to conduct the school of the petitioner. Since the respondents are now considering the representation of the petitioner, it would not be appropriate on the part of this Court to examine the merits or otherwise of the facts stated in the Writ Petition. 2.It is stated by the learned counsel for the respondents that the second respondent namely the Commissioner of Land Administration, Ezhilagam, Chepauk, Chennai has forwarded the representation given by the petitioner to first respondent/the Secretary, Revenew Department, Tamil Nadu on 12.11.2019. Till date, the first respondent has not passed any orders. Hence, the first respondent is granted time till 29.02.2020 to pass appropriate orders with reasons, on the representation given by the petitioner.

3.With the above direction the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
