The writ petition was filed in the year 2010 and the prayer seeking for a direction to the respondents to complete the process of selection within the stipulated time in respect of the notification, dated 30.03.2010 relating to the Direct Recruitment of Lecturers for Government Law Colleges. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. This Court is of the opinion that the recruitment of candidates for appointment to the particular post is an administration power of an employer. The process of selection can be questioned by the candidates only if there is any irregularity, illegality or any malpractices or any other corrupt activities established in the process of selection. The candidates cannot be admitted in the process of selection nor the writ petition can be entertained in this regard, in the absence of legal grounds cited supra.

3. However, in this case on hand, a notification was issued on 30.03.2010 and now after a lapse of 7 years there cannot be any direction for completing the process of selection within the stipulated time.

4. In this view, there is no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
